bwd: the invisible companion is our entry for That Game Jam.

Set on a quiet magical WonderLawn, the game tells a story about grief, reconnection and ongoing companion.

You play as Goust, an invisible presence who wakes beneath the grass and wanders the land unseen. Nearby, a lonely puppy mourns a friend who never woke up.

Though the puppy cannot see you, your actions still matter.

By interacting with the environment, triggering lights, sounds, and playful creatures, you gently draw their attention, encourage them to explore again, and help the Wonderlawn slowly return to life. 

At its heart, bwd is about who we lost have never truly left us.
